Whats the difference between these Asus monitors?

mxk
Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

QR is a revision with an updated HDMI controller that supports up to 120 Hz. Q is limited to 60 Hz over HDMI.

Heyo forums,

I had a small question about the model names of monitors that Asus sells and how they name them. I own an Asus MG248 144hz 1080p monitor, and I noticed that there are two different monitors with very similar names, the MG248Q and the MG248QR. I see that Asus does this with a lot of their monitors, adding the Q's and R's for different displays, but what's the difference? I was just really curious,

Thanks!

The bullets for the Q says it supports Freesync, but the spec page does not. The QR spec page says Freesync. That is the only thing I can see different.

So it's looking like my monitor is actually the best of the 3 different variances, I think it has 3D vision and adaptive sync. It looks like the other 3 only have 1 of those, or neither.

EDIT: It looks like I'm getting confused. My box in my room doesn't have a Q, R, or E in the model name but Asus doesn't list a MG248 as a monitor that even exists.

I think I have the QR model.
