yes it's worth it for a boot drive, might want to go with a 240gb though for longevity.

I wanted to buy gigabyte 120gb SSD but is it enough for windows and some games, and can i combine my HDD with SSD so SSD has 1120 gb's? And which mark of SSD is the best example: kingston, adata etc?

Definately worth it, even if its only Windows and your favourite game.

I would suggest 240 though if can manage. Plenty of specials going on.

You can combine them sort of. You can set the ssd to be a cache drive.

Best brand would likely be Samsung.

I'd suggest getting one of these

Yes it's worth it, but save up for a 500GB model at least. The space goes pretty quickly.

120gb is enough for the OS and a few programs. While windows can install and run with less than 60gb, due to updates an bloat I don't really recommend it. Games with large install bases like Rainbow Six can share such a small SSD. You can't combine the SSD with your old hard drive like you stated, but you can run them separately with the SSD for your OS and the HDD for games.

Whether its worth it or not for you is somewhat subjective, but I think it is. It decreases OS loading times which means that you don't have to wait on the OS to perform tasks as much when you are using your computer.

my pc boots up in 30 seconds but some programs like core temp, msi afterburner, steam etc need like 1-2 minutes to load

I wasn't just referring to boot times though. The experience in Windows can be still slowed down by random system processes accessing the disk. Also in your scenario, you would could put your programs that aren't games on the SSD and you game library on the HDD. This won't help with game load times much, but you would see and "feel" a noticeable improvement.

If you are hard pressed to run games on an SSD, then you would either have to save up for a larger SSD or use the SSD for games where you would move/swap the games that you are playing most often or at the moment onto the SSD. I believe steam supports this ability.

It is worth it. Very.

Get at least 240gb - in a single partition - with just windows and your most used programs.

You can combine with an hdd, but you would have to create an empty folder (named Games, or something recognazable by you) and mount the hdd to that folder in Administrative tools-》Computer Management--》Storage.

The drawback is that you would have to set the paging file (if you useit) in C drive.

Definitely worth it, they're cheap nowadays so you can opt for higher capacity too. So for OS and programs, sure games can be good too, though not all of them will benefit so no point wasting space. Certain open world games and some online. Games like MMORPGs benefit grat, a ton of assets and textures to load and areas.

It's definitely worth it, but I'd say get a bigger one. 120gb isn't enough for games these days and you need to consider that 120gb is actually only around 100gb usable storage. Then you have to take away another 20-30gb for windows and that barely leaves you with 60-70gb. You really don't need the fastest of the fastest SSD around. Especially not if you're on a budget. I'd say look into the crucial or adate SSDs. They're pretty good and really affordable. You could pick up a Crucial BX500 480gb for 59 euros (probably cheaper in USD, cause VAT is a bitch). Apacer has a 960gb ssd for 105 euros (once again, probably cheaper in usd if you're from america).
