Affixing LED strips to my case

DezGalbie

I bought some cheap LED strips online to fit to my PC case. I cut them to length, wired them to a molex power connector on my power supply, and stuck them down using the attached 3M adhesive. In a matter of minutes they began to become unstuck. I have my doubts about whether the adhesive attached to these things is genuinely manufactured by 3M.

What is the best way to reattach these strips to my case? There are points where I could hold them down with hidden cable ties but there are other points where this wouldn't be feasible. What would be the best way to attach them in these other points?

Would a hot glue gun work?

The case is the Cooler Master Q300P and the places where I would be sticking them are made of painted metal (I assume steel).

Hot glue small magnets to the strip then you can put them wherever and move it if need be

That sounds like a good way of doing it!

Thanks :)

Cutting up some Velcro would work.

Glueing magnets would be the best option if you can get decent sizes.
