Newbs trying to sound smart

Pi31415

What are some moments you've encountered where people tried sounding like tech experts???

Heres my story

So during school I was on pcpartpicker planning out my ryzen build from a fx 6300 and im minding my business. This guy comes out of no where

and asks what I'm doing, and I proceed to tell him about my future upgrade and he started telling me this "Why even have a desktop when you can buy a laptop from best buy and have a geforce graphics and a intel, this AMD seems to look like a scam." God please end me

That moment when the apple store person says "The iMac has faster and superior hardware to almost every desktop CPU ever made"

Translation: I was told by a training video to say that it's fast. I have no clue idea how fast it is, but you should buy it cause it makes my report look good.

I loved the fact that he said "Desktop CPU" instead of Desktop computer... There's a difference.

Anytime this happens I use a lot of big works, acronyms, and whatnot from the industry.  If they can follow than you can continue talking.  If they cannot they get overwhelmed and leave you alone because they know they have no idea what they are talking about.
