How to Connect a Power Supply Cable to a GTX 1070Ti

I have a Corsair RM550x power supply and I’m not sure how to plug in the included cable to power my GTX 1070Ti, which uses a 6-pin and an 8-pin PCIe power connectors.

The end marked Type4 goes into the power supply.

Then plug the 6+2 pin parts into the graphics card. Be sure that you plug the extra 2 pins that hang off into the 8 pin connector. For the 6 pin connector on the graphics card, you can leave the extra 2 pins hanging off, it wont hurt anything.

Its pretty straightforward.

make sure they are pushed all the way in. looks like the 8 pin may not be all the way in. You can push pretty hard without breaking or damaging anything
