2060 or 2070?

overlord_pro

I'm planning to build a PC around the 1500 dollar price range. I play on a 4k 40 inch TV and mostly play Fortnite and occasionally other similar games. I am planning on the build having an i5 9600k. Would it be better to get a 2060 or 2070?

Not sure if I'm right about this, but the i5 9600k and the i5 8600k are the same price. Also according to user benchmark, 9600k has more value than the r5 2600 and the 2070 has more value than the 2080.

Usermark is stupid and doesn't have any bearing on anything.

For 4K get the RTX 2070 it will be worth it in some games. Also, the 9600k is fine. If they are the same price get the newer CPU. Unless the motherboards are much more expensive. Not sure about that.

I would also suggest a 2070 for 4K, or if you don't mind going used a 1080Ti.

If you can find one for a decent price. You can gat a 2070 for around $500 and a 1080ti for $800 - $900. Might as well get an RTX 2080 for that price.
