Keep getting sent the wrong GPU

On mobile, so sorry if the formatting is bad

I’ve been working on building my dream computer build for a while now, and almost have all the parts for it. For the GPU, I went with the Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti xtreme, both because it matches my motherboard and also because the amount of Display ports and HDMI ports was very attractive to me. I ordered one off of amazon from a third party seller, and after a week of anticipation, I was sent the wrong GPU. It was the standard edition of the Aorus card, not the xtreme. That’s fine, mistakes happen. I return it and order another one, this time from a different seller, and the exact same thing happens again. At this point, I’m a little upset and hesitant to repeat the process in fear of the same thing happening again. I have emailed the second seller and explained the situation to them, but I thought I could seek help here as well. What should I do from here? I want to order an Aorus GTX 1080ti xtreme, either like new, new, or refurbished. Is there any way I can order one without the fear of being sent the wrong card for the third time?

Thank you for reading, any advice is nice.

Try to get it directly by Amazon if it's possible

If you are in the U.S., then buy it from Newegg. Newegg has a market place, select Newegg as the seller and you should get the card you wanted.

Why are you buying a GPU from third party sellers is the first question.

the GTX 1080Ti is disappearing from all stock, probably the reason they sent you a different card is because they don't have the xtreme version available, i suggest you go with an RTX 2080 instead, they're the same price or probably cheaper, same performance.

I believe the part number is GV-N108TAORUS X-11GD. Make sure that is the number of any ordered part.

You might check these parts https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=GV-N108TAORUS+X-11GD&N=-1&isNodeId=1

I’m trying to find the clock speed of the Aorus Rtx 2080. Does it have a similar clock speed to that of the Gtx 1080 to from Aorus? (About 1630 base)

The RTX 2080 architecture differs substantially from the GTX 1080 so clock speed comparisons are apples to oranges.

Alright, I think I’m going to go down the route of getting a Aorus 2080 xtreme. Do I need something other than PCI-E cords to power it? It looks different from the gtx cards

Requires two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. What model psu do you have?

That psu has two cables each with two 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors. It can easily power the gpu.
