1440p monitor capped at 1080p

5limesimba

The monitor was at 1440p like it has been for months, but I lowered the resolution to 1080 for a bit to have better performance but now it is capped at 1080p. I would change the resolution from Win settings to 1440p and the monitor would not connect, when I did it from Intel's program it looked like 720p but claimed to be 1440p. (My other pc broke that is why I am using these programs. The monitor was on 1440p on this pc) The laptop is 2560x1600 and that works fine at its resolution.
My monitor is the Omen 27 and connected to a macbook running windows (IT WAS 1440P on windows) it runs 1440p on Mac's OS but I want to be able to use 2560x1440 on windows

Yes, It isn't supporting the resolution. I updated the drivers trying to fix it, but it just totally removed 1440p. This is not due to overclocking, The laptop only has HDMI and it only supports 60 fps with HDMI.

Go to nvidia panel.  Then go to change resolution on the left, then choose your monitor on the right,, and say custom resolution click it,, put a check in box,, and you can create the custom resolution. and put in your 144p resolution  and hit test and if it passes say yes,,, and your done,, now you can use that resolution.  good luck

I am dual booting on this macbook because my pc broke. on mac os 1440p is an option and works the way it should. It was working on windows but then I changed the resolution to 1080p and I was unable to change it back. Before you try to help can you please read what is actually going on. After that i did a driver update and it fully removed 1440p https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/416682612103577610/535962540082069504/image0.jpg
