NVME SSD Boot Speed

Hi I'm just wondering, I have a Samsung 960 EVO ssd in my rig right now and I have windows installed on it, and it takes about 14 seconds to boot, but my friend, who have a sata ssd can boot his system up in only 7 or 8 seconds, is that normal? 

 

Here is my system specs

Ryzen 5 2600x

trident Z RGB 3000MHZ XMP Profile 1

Gigabyte X470 Gaming 7 Rev 1.0 BIOS F6 with ultra-fast boot enabled (They removed it from their website for some reason)

Samsung 960 EVO 250Gb 

WD Blue 7200RPM HDD

EVGA Gtx 1070ti SC black edition

NVMe has basically no effect on boot speed. The software bloat that you may have currently installed does, though.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

It's hard to identify what programs affect boot speed. What's enabled in task manager for startup?

Why do you need super fast boot anyways? Just sleep it and you start in a second.

no i'm just wondering did I pay that extra money for NVME ssd not worth it. Because my friends sata 3 ssd is faster then mine

If disabling some of those is worth a test, try experimenting.

Boot times are not the purpose of an NVMe SSD.
