  • GPU: Sapphire R9 270X 2GB GD5 BstOC
  • CASE: NZXT Tempest 210 Midi ATX Black Case

The 280X is at the 400$ mark so we have to rule out that.

If the 4 extra logical cores are actually needed, a Xeon E3-1230v3 is a cheaper, but otherwise equal to the 4770 (non-k) product. In case he doesnt need hyperthreading the i5 4670 or 4570 will do just fine.

The money you save that way could be put in a better graphics solution (R9 280X or GTX 770).

Apart from that, it looks like a very well balanced system.

Change the i7 for an i5 and use the money for a HDD for mass storage.

Sorry for not clarifying... he already has an WD black 1Tb HDD...(the rest of his previous pc is dead)

Use, budget, currency?

800 - 900€ Video rendering, music editing and casual gaming.

This meets budget. It would be a better build if memory was upped to a 2x8GB - 16GB part - that would put it a little bit over budget.
