I’m starting up a small form factor build and the case hieght is around 75mm. Just enough to fit a 60mm rad. I know a lot of people are going to recommend air coolers at this clearance but there is not ventilation at top where it would be mounted.

I’m just curious of how much TDP I probably could get with Alphacool’s XT45 triple 60mm rad?

What case are you running? Perhaps it'd be better to go with air cooling.

I mean, watercooling isnt magic, its still air cooling. So if you dont have ventilation, a radiator has no way to dissipate its heat.

I was trying to keep the case lowkey but I'm actually shoving everything in an xbox one. (posting build soon), so there is no ventilation except for the sides. I was imagining a radiator on one of these sides, and with an lp cooler, there's gonna be little to no exhaust, and/or no directed flow.

There is no ventilation around cpu area but can have directed airflow around the possible radiator placement on side

Since area is more important than thickness with radiators, I would perceive this radiator to be 3/4 of a 120 mm radiator. It is slightly thicker than a standard rad, but not particularly thick so I think this estimation would be adequate. Being a 3/4 of a 120 mm radiator, I would say it would be suitable for a low power CPU (OC probably not so promising) or a mid-power GPU.
