Z370 vs Z390 for overclocking?

I cant decide between Gigabyte Z370M D3H, Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming K3 or Gigabyte Z390 UD for overclocking. In my country D3H is priced around $163 when we convert, K3 is $193 and UD is $180.I dont know if i should be spending more money on Z390 or that Aourus Z370. I want MB that can OC my cpu to 5GHz stable.

Ooo, I do not think you will be able to reach you desired frequency with that mobo on those chips. The z390 is definitely your best bet, but the VRMs on it are small. If you are spending so much on a cpu, why not spend more on the mobo?

Don't skimp out on a mobo, especially if you will be doing some OC on it. The quality of the VRMs and power delivery is everything when it comes to OC'ing - this is even more relevant since you're paring it with such a high-end CPU like the 8700k/9700k. There are lots of reviews out there, including one from Gamers Nexus, touting the Gigabyte Z390 AORUS MASTER as one of the best OC boards you can buy. I run this same board paired with a i9-9900k and i was able to achieve a 5.0Ghz OC on all cores with a only a 1.298 VCore.

This is probably your best/ cheapest option, OP. This or the Tomahawk, but I would definitely spend extra to get the Ultra Gaming

How does it compares to yours MB. I'm pretty sure in buying the one u suggested despite i heard it has some heat problems.

My mobo is great, I have had zero issues with it, but the Aorus ultra gaming most likely has better VRMs. I haven't really checked the motherboard temp, but my cpu stays below 60 degrees in intense gaming (like bfv maxed settings), and it idles at 35. However, my cpu cooler is shite so
