Exposed or hidden key switch keyboards

Not sure if I'm not describing it with the wrong words, but digging in the internet didn't give me things I want. So here it goes: are keyboards with exposed key switches better in every way than those hiddent?

 

Now I probably need to clarify what I mean. A picture should do.

Exposed switch on the left, hidden on the right.

Get exposed it looks way better in setup and i thought first hidden would be nice but its not that nice just get the good switches with exposed key switch

 

what is your budget?

Cleaning wise, exposed is easier to maintain than hidden. It's mainly an aesthetic choice.

 

FYI: In custom keyboard land, this is classified based on the case. You have high-pro (profile) cases which you call hidden and low-pro (sometimes mid-pro) which you call exposed.

They both have there uses.

Just keeping this here as a Bezeled/Enclosed vs Floating switch

Enclosed keyboard housings will sound more bassier and more silent, and offers more protection for the switches. Floating switch designs have been getting more popular recently mostly due to their looks, they offer less protection to the switches and makes the switch sound louder, however they are easier to clean and access compared to an enclosed design.
