Corsair 900D Stand

Ace

Hey guys I was just curious if anyone had experience with making there own 900D stand as it is obviously to large to put on a desk and I don't want it on the carpet because I have a dog (husky) and alot of fur gets sucked up by the fans through to the dust filter. I was thinking about doing what my friend had made with parts from ikea for his monitor stand. Any input would be great. The case is just under 70cm long and 26cm long and weighs about 40 plus Kg. Thanks in advance

You might be able to get like a set of drawers that match your desk and sit it beside it? Or table or something similar.

Well you could mount some sort of very sturdy shelf on the wall and sit it on that...

Btw: I got the same kind of dog :) They are quite epic :D

I have mine on a huge table that we had laying around the house, lemme see if I can find batteries for the camera and I'll take a pic.

I think it was relatively cheap, but if you build your own desk like I did, and then built a stand/table for the side of the desk, it'd look real nice.

If you do decide to make one, make sure you get STURDY wood/metal whatever you make it out of.  I don't like risking thousands of dollars of hardware on cheap particle board, try and get 1 inch thick plywood and stain it or something along the lines of that.

My advice is either build your own from 2X4's and thick reinforced plywood. or buy one of those case stands out of metal that are just lightly raised

i used two of these before. you probably should strap your 900D down somehow if you go this way.

Hey thanks for the input guys but I kind of want it still on the ground but just high enough its not sucking the fur off of the carpet.

I was thinking about a ikea hack with this table http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/80251136/#/80251339 and these legs http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/40196514/ or this frame http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/60210444/
