Adding a fan in the middle of PC?! (Phanteks Evolv Shift & InWin Mars)

Finally, I bought all the parts for my PC build with Phanteks evolv shift mini case. (Not the X version, the smaller version)

I see a lot of reviews about the cases saying that there is rack of air flow.

 

Then I saw this unique fan from InWin. The MARS!! This fan is adjustable fan which can extend out and pivot to different position.

(please search for it, it is pretty cool)

 

So I was thinking about using the fan to improve the air flow in the case. I tried to install it on top of the case but it does not have enough clearance. 

I am planning to mount it on bottom front and position it to the middle of the case. 

 

Do you guys think adding this fan on the middle of the fan can improve any air flow or temperature of the case overall? Need advise!!

If it increases airflow it would only do so minutely.  Probably not even enough to drop temps.  This fan seems better purposed in large cases where airflow slows down over a long distance.

Only use case I have seen is if you fill your HDD bays and the front intake fans are having trouble blowing through a bunch of HDDs

For both of the comments, I was thinking that if I can increase the air flow of exhaust, it can move hot air out of the case faster because the case only have top front fan exhausting. My initial plan was to put this fan on top so that it can blow air to the top of the case since the case does not have fan on top. 

 

But since i can't do that because of the clearance of mounting fan on top front, only way was to put fan on bottom front and position it on the middle of the case.

 

I guess it does not really help the temp or airflow from you guy's advise. :(

The main issue with airflow is that there isn't enough air entering case. The linked fan is meant for bigger case or test benches where you need to direct airflow inside the case somewhere. With that case, initial issue is getting air to correct locations when using air coolers. This is quite common issue on these concept cases which are meant for AIO or custom loop watercooling. Where doesn't have need to go where heatsinks are, its brought in through radiators and exhausted through radiators.

When I saw it and got the 1st impression, it was cool, and $59 for a single fan? NOPE!

 

How will you adjust the fan when your case doesn't have the space and limiting the fan's unique features to be function as it is?

 

You pay that much money for a single fan, installed it inside the case, then can't make its adjustable features to work. What a waste.. If only for looks, still the price is too high only for a good looking single fan.

Here, is a simple diagram of what my plan is. So basically, I have bottom fan intake with 120mm radiator for CPU and bottom front intake fan with radiator for GPU. All AIO system. So those two fans are intakes of my PC.

 

The top 140mm fan is only exhaust. There is some opening on top the case but there is no space for fan mount. That was my reason to buy InWin Mars which i thought it could mount it on the top front fan and position it to the top of the case so that it becomes a exhaust fan. This could've increase the air flow but as I explained before, it was not enough space for me to mount InWin fan on the top front because of clearance issue. 

 

So, as you see on the diagram, I am planning to mount the InWin fan on bottom front fan and position it in the middle of the case so that it increase the exhaust air flow. 

 

P.S. Yes, InWin Mars fan is expensive but I bought it because I can afford it. I could've bought better case and better config but I am just building this PC for challenge to make it work. Like for fun. why not?
