Need help after installing new cpu

Go to solution Solved by mxk,

Bruv you bought the wrong motherboard. They literally specify on the product page what CPUs the motherboard will work with for a reason.

I installed a new cpu (i3 8100 LGA 1151) into my motherboard (asus rog strix b250h), the fans spin up but no display. Also when I attempt to turn off my pc i have to hold the cases power button i stead of just pressing it, can somebody please help me because I am panicking rn and don't know what to do.

Any board that fits your case and has the I/O you want.

There are not many differences when it comes to B360 boards IMHO.

Just check B360 and ATX form factor on Newegg.

Make sure you have Newegg and not "all sellers" selected at the top.

Any B360 board works as long as it physically fits in your case.

All B360 boards work with 8000 series Intel CPUs.

All B360 boards support at least 2x DDR4 memory modules.
