Hi,

I want to buy a gaming PC but because of my work I have to move around the Europe a lot (like once a year).

Are gaming laptops a viable solution for gaming (LoL, CSGO, Destiny 2, etc.)?

My budged is ~ 1300€ and I know that for that price I can build a decent tower but I'm worried that if or when I have to move it will be a hustle.

I'm currently baste in Bulgaria.

There are laptops that can game too. I personally bought Predator Helios 300, and it can perfectly run AAA games in 1080p 60FPS on high settings.  If you play less demanding games like LoL or CSGO, it will be a great option.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

laptops will always perform worse than a desktop, because of thermal limits and the cost for custom parts. did you consider a mitx or matx build?

Yes I was thinking of mitx build but I ran into same problem, if I have to move I'll have ship the tower.

Noted. Do you guys know a good laptop? And what do you think about the one suggested by PopsicleHustler Predator Helios 300?

It depends on your region. there will always be something on sale somewhere.
Looked up the specs but i dont see an HDD in there.
As i said it depends on the pricing in your area.

I am here to learn, please correct me if im wrong or you see me putting bs on your screen!

oh i see, the GPU is only listed in the title.

I myself use a laptop with a 1050TI. It holds up rather good.

Also the fact that you can upgrade the RAM later on is nice.

but 1000€ is a fair price for that model.

Noted. Thank you!

Btw, is it worth of getting a CPU with 6 cores? Like how long will they be viable?

i strongly recommand getting a 6-core.

I myself bought a i7 7700HQ 4-core 2.8GHz + 1050TI last year.
But i would be happier with a 6-core 2.2GHz.

I dont recommand going back to a 7th gen.
Other option is an 8th gen i5. But most often they dont differ much in price.
Feel free to send links to other laptops, and i ill take a look.

its 200€ more for 125GB less SSD storage and 2" less display size. how does that work.

Before I just built my PC, I was using an MSI GE72VR Notebook. I7, 16gb, 128gb ssd/1tb hdd, gtx 1060 3gb, on a 1080p 17" display and worked amazingly well. There wasn't much of a reason for me to upgrade honestly, except I needed a bigger /better display so I went with a 4k setup.

If you can get something similar to that, then you should be fine. Even used should be ok as long as you test it or buy from a Troutdale source on eBay.
