Considering gifting a friend one of my old graphics cards, how much benefit would he get?

Dovaogedy

I have two pc friends who have rigs that are a few years old now

One has  an I5 4690k and a 2gb gtx 770

The other isnt quite as pc literate but from what i recall his pc has something like an amd fx 8320/8350 and an r9 280/280x

i have a gtx 970 and a 3gb 1060 available once i buy my  rtx 2070

Would either one of these guys benefit greatly from one of these cards if i gifted them for free?

I was leaning towards selling the 1060 and gifting the 970 to my friend with the amd pc. The guy with the 770 doesnt game as much

The GTX 970 and GTX 1060/3 are more or less the same in terms of performance. The 280 and 280X are pretty much a wash with the GTX 770. So, basically, you can give either guy either card without one seeing significantly more improvement than the other.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
