Zip money

I notice with Scorptec a computer company, at the check out zip money is there, it say Scorptec website purchase what you love then select zip money and the way you go, i looked into it zip money offers a $3,000 limit, i was wondering is it safe, do they do credit checks, what about if on a pention do they not accept application, i use to be bankruptcy a long time ago, i haven't been bankrupte since 2010, i tried with GE application always declined, i did think of going down that path, any way i won't finish building my pc for a few years zip money probably by me some time the fear set in, their monsters like GE finance, be like Godzilla vs Mothra.

Save up money to buy a PC. Don't get in to debt just to get a gaming PC.

I won't presume to offer financial advice, though if you have a history of bad debt, more is never advisable.

  • Zip money does check credit, it's effectively a store card. If pension is your only income you are unlikely to get accepted. And even applying will negatively effect your score. If you exited bankruptcy in 2010 then it should no longer be on your credit file. If you do not think you can save for a PC within 6 months then you will not be able to
  • Afterpay does not require a credit check, and is a much better offer as it's term is just 8 weeks and has no interest. It can be used as a good way to manage cashflow, if you purchase one component at a time.

dude learn to save ._. don't depend on loans to solve the financial problem. that's doing future you a disservice, especially if you're not doing anything to repay that loan.

I get payed the DSP pention through centrelink because of the Bill Gates Disability i have, i can every 6months apply for a $1200 interest free advanced payment, that s how i come to own a never used MSI geforce GTX 1080 Ti Direct X 12 and a $560 corsair 1200watt power supply, next 2950x or 2990WX CPU, i only got 2 more pention days until i finish paying $1200 advanced payment of if i want i could apply for another one, i get payed fortnightly, so im thinking when i get full pention im holding of so i can save $400 per month, 4 months time i have $1600, the get another $1200 advanced payment, then i have $2800 then purchase the AMD 2990WX CPU.  Also i finish paying back Radio Rentals then save 540 per month then save 10990 for Quadro RTX 6000 or 2 Quadro RTX 5000.

Zip Money is essentially a form of a credit card & will affect your credit.

Zip Pay is similar, but more inline with After Pay, you can use upto a maximum of $1000 on Zip Pay, which you pay back in a minimum set amount (or more) per week/fortnight or month, with a $5/mo account keeping fee & no interest, unlike Zip Money. Stay far away from Zip Money.
