2400g can play some games. I played CSGO and Crossout at 1080p on the 2200g I built for someone. Even played gta v, at 1080p and I even went as far as testing a few different parts of the game. Not the best fps, but at least console quality. 

 

You would be surprised at what you could play on a budget. More than just Indies, I'm sure.

2400G is much like the old Quadcore i5's. (4th Gen IPC) and varied clockspeeds whether you OC or not,.. it's quite powerful out the gate.
aka i5 4570 ---- i5 4690 arena....

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
