I have a Dell Precision m4600 with an i7 2nd gen "Extreme Edition" and an AMD Radeon HD 6700M in it. When I play Games like GTA 5 and CSGO I'm noticing that the laptop is getting quit hot so I downloaded "Core Temp" to check the temperature. It said that my CPU was at 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius). I'm afraid it's going to end up harming that laptop in a really bad way. What are some was to prevent this from happening.

60 degrees C on the CPU isn't that bad, what are your GPU temps?

60 degrees is really not hot at all for a CPU or GPU. The Tjunction (max temp, basically) for that CPU is 100 C for example.

You could always swap out the thermal paste if you have not done that already and general cleaning of the fan can also help; but sometimes it's just the way the system is made that makes lower temps not possible. Ambient temperatures also play a role in this
