It's saying the BIOS needs updating to work with that CPU. By now most, but not all, motherboards SHOULD have a compatible BIOS for the 2000 series CPUs.

You are (I am guessing) picking a Ryzen 2000 series CPU, with a B350 motherboard. B350 boards are made during the Ryzen 1000 series of CPU's and thus may not have a BIOS compatible with these newer CPU's. The only way to update the BIOS, is using a compatible CPU..

Of course there is a chance the motherboard does have the BIOS that supports the 2000 series CPU's, but that is only a chance.

I would recommend you just check if there is a similar B450 board, so you don't have to deal with this chance.

If you've got a PC shop bear you that would be willing to lend a CPU for the BIOS update, you'll be fine. Just head to them for 5 minutes and you're set.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
