Contacting the Owner of a Site?

Brethren, 

 

 

I have recently stumbled upon a .com that is ran by distant family members that my family have lost contact with for decades! Each of the pages of the website are username and password protected, so I'm unable to access any of it. I'm just able to see the /links/.

I then had idea of trying to contact the owners of the site, as it's updated fairly regularly by my family, literally up to a month ago.

 

So, brethren, what are the ways in which I may find the contact info of owners to the site? I can tell that the site is operated by godaddy, so I suppose that's better than nothing.

well good luck if you want to look it up at godaddy, as they are the biggest holder of domains. i can only think of looking up the website if you can find any contact details, but that's about it

You could always lookup the site on https://www.whois.com/ to see if the info is privatized or public.  Aside from that, you could email the privacy provider listed and maybe they'll forward the info to the owner.
