Well... the items you listed are fine for a gaming pc... i would add a extra 8gb of ram though as games are getting more intense and you would want head room for doing other tasks in the background

but if you can't get extra ram for whatever reason that may be it's fine 8gb will be fine for most but still

if you're going for high framerate gaming a intel chip might be better. I have an r7 1700 at only 3.65ghz and hitting 144hz isn't TOO much of an issue. 16 gigs is honestly the lowest i'd go for a system like this. It sucks since its expensive but you already can't run some games with 8gb. Also I believe that the r5 2600x doesn't come with a stock cooler only the nonx do (was 1xxx not sure about 2xxx).

Your parts are compatible, do you have a specific question?

What's your budget and where are you from? We could come up with suggestions for an alternative build for you

Not really. It also depends on which i5 you are referring too. The 2600x is good value per performance

It comes with the Wraith Spire cooler.

Maybe go with the R5 2600 if it is cheaper, and put that towards an extra 8GB Ram.

Agree with him. go with a 2600 instead of the X. Use that money you are saving on processor and put it toward getting an entry level x470.

Then you wait for CES 2019 because AMD's launching ryzen 3000 series which should be compatible with the x470 mobos. I'm not sure if they would be compatible with the b450's.
