DDR4-3000 RAM support

Will this mobo... ASRock support this DDR4-3000 RAM

 

It only lists DDR4-2133 / 2400 / 2666 / 2933 / 3200

 

I tried looking for a compatibility listing of it here... ASRock Support but I couldn't find it.

 

I would think I could just set it to run at 2933 or 3200 right

should be fine as long as the RAM plays nice with Ryzen

It won't got to 3200 unless you over clock it, but it will work perfectly in the 2933mhz slot as its just under

So it doesn't matter that it doesn't list DDR4-3000 on it

It's fine. The RAM will just be clocked down automatically to next highest supported speed: 2933, unless overclocked. Although, do check in the BIOS that, that clock speed has been changed. You can do it manually yourself, if not.

Okay, thanks. I can't buy the RAM now anyway, not even 5 minutes has went by and it has already sold out.

^^^ I personally (on my 3000MHz kit of Corsair RGB ram) select the XMP profile and then set the RAM speed itself one bump up, to 3200Mhz. Works fine with my 2700X. On an R5 1600 rig I had, I needed to run 3000MHz RAM at 2933 though to get it stable.

This is what I'm worried about. I don't know where to find a compatibility list for it on that link above.

Isn't this what I'm looking for, not sure what the v at the end means though. Those notes 1 and 2 right there seem to matter as well. Someone translate all this please. You'll notice this is just for this particular Team Vulcan RAM. There's a drop box there for every other RAM. Does v stand for yes?

Doesn't seem to be, that kit you linked is TLGD416G3000HC16CDC01, most of the kits on that list start with a TCD or TPD/TPRD instead of TLG for starters. it should still run at 2933 easily tho.

Glad you caught that, I totally overlooked it. At least I did find some options that may show up for the RAM I end up going with. I'm gonna have to be super patient on this RAM, it's seriously being sold right as I try to buy kits going on sale. Everybody is doing what I'm doing apparently, attempting to buy 2x8 kits once they go under $90.00.
