New motherboard not saving bios after power down.

Nantuko

Hello,

New pc builder here. I just completed my first build and I one problem. The bios isn't saving new settings after I completely power down the pc.
I changed the cmos battery (small chance since it's a new motherboard, but had to check).
What else could the problem be?
I have a Asus ROG Strix X470-F Gaming motherboard
CPU: AMD 2600x
GPU: Asus ROG Strix 1070ti
I read something about a cmos jumper pin, but can't find anything in the manual about that. yeah... I even read the manual ?

I see I wasn't giving the full informating. When I shut down normally(through windows) and power up (power button at the case) the settings are saved. I saved after leaving the bios (save and reset I think it was called).
Only when I shut down the powersupply with the power button of the powersupply (after shutting down the pc through windows) the settings aren't saved.

Edit: Problem solved. Bios remembered time settings, just not the led settings. Was Asus Aura that was overwriting the bios setting. Still weird imo that it only happend when the powersupply was off.
