Changing post code color on a motherboard?

Jun Ishiwata

I know it sounds a bit stupid and i'm ok with how my setup looks at the moment but i was wondering if there is a way to change the led color of the asus post code screen ? Anyone did this before ?  Would be nice if it had white lights.
For anyone posting about my fan setup , i know i'm still checking my possibilities with push/pull.

Kind regards.

Nah, it's only red. You can probably turn it off in the BIOS though.

Nice system btw. :)

Well its not really annoying me that much, its just nitpicking but thanks ! I've just recently "completed" my build.

The thing to remember with this is that soldering on a motherboard is hellish - so much heatsoak into the various layers of copper etc... probably not worth it IMO

Really nice system though buddy :)

I will only ever answer to the best of my ability - there is absolutely no promises that I will be correct. Or helpful. At all.

Yeah i was thinking the same. If i really have to start soldering on it i could easily do more harm than good. Guess i'll just keep it this way. Maybe it's just an excuse to keep changing things on my build since i ran out of things i could upgrade ? Thanks for the compliment tho !

I wonder if it's possible to get some kind of film that will filter out the red light from the display? And just tape that over the display...

I’ve just bought some random cable extender kit. I’m going to buy the cable is extenders with the pre-fitted cablecombs soon tho. Thanks for the compliment !

Not possible unfortunately. LEDs emit in a narrow band so there's only red light to start with.

Only way to do so would be replacing it with a different led module. Which is more hassle than is worth.
