ASRock AXTU not working Windows 10... help!

dmoorezy

Hi there, I have tried looking everywhere and I cannot find a solution that works.

I am trying to install a fan utility for my Z87 Fatil1ty Motherboard. I have had this system for a while, and although most of the utilities are bloat, I really would like to use the ASRock Extreme Tuning Utility that was provided to change some fan curves in case. It seems since Windows 10 that there is no support for the utility. Everywhere I have looks suggests to change the install path from the default C:\Program Files (x86)\ASRock Utility\AXTU to

C:\Program Files\ASRock Utility\AXTU. This seems to do nothing and I still get the error upon launching the application "this program is not compatible with platform".

Does anyone have a fix for this? I have also read that Speedfan is a freeware that can work, but I have also seen mixed reviews in regards to it detecting fans.

Any help would be appreciated!

I would just try speedfan. I mean it's free, so no loss to you (other than time) if it doesn't work.
