Can I mix 2 rams

I made a mistake when buying pc with rx580 and ryzen5 2600,I bought only 8gb of ram. Now I need more so can I put 2 sticks of different speed and brand, but both ddr4?

if they are both DDR4, then yes, you can do it, but the computer will likely read both sticks of ram at the speed of the slower stick, and you will not get the benefit from the faster sticks.

Yes, they'll run at the slower stick's speed and timings.

I wouldn't do it with a Ryzen chip as it benefits from higher speed memory. If it was Intel you could get a way with it. I'd be safe and get the same ram stick.

Just go to BIOS and set the latencies and DRAM speed to the slower stick specs and your set.
