My laptop is unable to connect to wifi

Is is not searching for any networks and doesn’t display wifi in the adapter options

Make sure the wifi card is even enabled. Lots of laptops have a hotkey (function key on the keyboard) or a physical switch. Also check the BIOS.

 

If nothing works, and your laptop is under warranty, get it repaired as the wifi card might be rekt.
