Good Combination for 1080p 144Hz Gaming?

Ryzen 2600X

For 144 hearts gaming, the 1070 ti is a fine deal for it isn't much more than a 1070 yet offers much superior performance. Look at some benchmarks online to see if it is worth it depending on the games you play. Why did you choose 2 ssds? If you think you need more than a terrabyte of storage I would spend the 65 you spent on the 500gb ssd and put it toward a hard drive. I have seen 1070 tis more almost $50 cheaper so why that one? One last thing is if you wanted to overclock the processor for some headroom you might want to get a seperate cooler or a 2600X. Otherwise it is a very good build

For 144Hz, you better go with Intel. Ryzen isn't good for high refresh rates.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus ROG Strix B650E / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Powercolor RX 7900 XTX Red Devil/ EVGA 750W GQ / NZXT H5 Flow

Do you really need 1.5TB of SSD storage?

You don't need 750W, 550W would be plenty, and the EVGA G3 is quite noisy. Bitfenix Whisper would be a good pick here.

Holy .... 2070? I thought those were super expensive. Is it better than the 1070 TI? Haven't heard great things about the 2000 series.

The 2070 performs about the same as the 1080, if you can find one for the same price/less than a 1080 it'll be a good card.

I chose 2 SSDs because I'm sick of waiting forever for anything to load on my HDDs. Thank you for your advice, any tips on what type of cooling I should use?

Won't the CPU bottleneck that 2070?

I've ran an R5 1600 with a 1080, and the R5 2600 is faster than that at stock, let alone overclocked. You should be fine, though be aware you won't get as high of an fps count as you do with Intel. With the same GPU in Destiny 2 (1080p Ultra on an EVGA 1080 SC) I pulled 144fps solid with my 5GHz 8600K, vs 115-130 or so with an R7 2700X.

Extremely modded Skyrim and Fallout at the moment. Would like to try out some newer games like RDR2 when it gets ported.
