What cars have you owned over the years?

dylandylandylan

Are you going to go N/A, or slap a big turbo on the side of that 4age? I've owned multiple 4age equipped cars, and right now I'm driving a 4age trueno as my daily :) one of my good friends just put a fully worked 4age with a MASSIVE holset truck turbo on the side into a KP60 Starlet weighing less than 900KG! The 4age is a beautiful engine :)

It depends on if I get the 20v blacktop or one of the older 16v big ports. If I get the big port I'll be getting a na dual Webber with exposed air filters hidden above the engine in a scoop plus all the other obvious upgrades like cam, pistons and more. But if I get my hands on a 20v with efi then I'm going crazy and making her into a fully done turbo beast. But I want to do carby, never owned a carby car.

Rig 1 CPU: 3570K Motherboard: V Gene GPU: Power Color r9 280x at 1.35GHZ  RAM: 16 GB 1600mhz PSU: Cougar CMX 700W Storage: 1x Plexor M5S 256GB 1x 1TB HDD 1x 3TB GREEN HDD Case: Coolermaster HAFXB Cooling: Intel Watercooler

I'd suggest going for the 4agze block if you are going turbo, already got forged pistons, and stronger crank because of the supercharger. I was looking into turbo converting my levin GTZ but .. I didn't in the end :P

shows the realism of that game, the Nur was only produced in 2002 and the V-Spec II was 2000 :-P

My very first car was a 96 Saturn SL1. I think. Unfortunately, I sold it because I was too nervous a driver to keep a stick shift.

My current car is a 99 Pontiac Grand Am 2.4L. It's junk, but it moves. I bought it entirely so I could drive it till it died, if it were in any nicer condition, I would have taken care of it.

I'm thinking my next car would be a 2010 Ford Fusion 3.0L or 2009 Pontiac G6 3.6L. The Pontiac because it's my dad's.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

Haven't checked over the 4agze yet, but I'll give it a look, If it's factory supercharged then the block might be a bit tougher meaning more boost :-P

My only car has been a 99' Chrysler Sebring lxi. It's a yacht, it's super cold in the winter, super hot in the summer and it doesn't like the tight driving around here, but it was given to me and it does it's job otherwise very well.

This isn't mine by the way, just one I found on Google.

I'm only 18, so I've only ever had one car, but it does what it needs to. 2004 Seat Ibiza. I plan on learning to ride a motorcycle soon and then buying a bike (hopefully a Kawasaki Ninja) for riding for fun on nice days.

Oh god, this brings back nightmares.

I got my first car around 2002, it was a 1993 Mercury Topaz.

used_1993_mercury_topaz_gs_9895751117814

This car was essentially the 1990s version of the ford pinto, a legendary clunker that is known throughout the ages as a low rent POS.  The cars speedometer topped out at 80mph, they did not even bother painting numbers higher than that, and for good reason.  By the time you hit 70 the car would shake like it was about to fly apart.

It had no power, turned like a truck, but at least it should get great mpg right?

15mpg city...

maintenance problems for years, which brings me to my next used car...

car_1.jpg

a 2001 plymouth neon, nothing fancy, but light years better than the topaz.  It served me well, ha issues towards the end but it was reasonable based on the age.

my current car is my first new car

79739346.jpg

Not actually mine, but I it's the same make/color.  Dodge Dart Aero (more fuel efficient version ~ 28 city / 40 mpg highway)

As far as compact cars go, it's very close to the prettiest thing, you ever did see.  Beautiful deep blue color that shimmers in the light.  Not the best looking trim, that belongs to the GT with the darker front face and better rims, but close enough.

This is the best looking trim with the GT/rallye look:

Honestly, I'm still kind of smitten.  When I walk out to my car, I spend a few moments to stare at the beauty of it all.  And you have seen the nightmares I was riding in before, ESPECIALLY the Topaz (shudders).  Now some of you will probably be like, that sh*t is ugly (i.e. you have really bad taste).  If it's not toyota/honda/bmw/mercedes get it TF out of my face.  But in the compact car segment, most companies tend to give you a toaster/appliance looking car.  Oh, you wanting something with better styling than a corolla?  Get a Lexus or f*ck you seems to be the attitude of some companies.

Dodge and now in 2014, the new mazda 3 are the companies shooting for the stars in terms of styling and design.

Have you seen the BR-Z or the 86 from Toyota/Subaru? I think that's gotta be up there for consideration.

the BR-Z/FR-S both looks amazing, if you want a 2 door car those are some of the more inspired models

First car was 1991 Chrysler Dynasty

Dodge_Dynasty.jpg

My grand mother gave it to me when she lost her driver liscence. To this day it's the most comfortable car i have sit in.

My second car was a Saturn SC-1 manuel

2095049_1.jpg

Hated That car. In 2 years, repairs have cost me more that the actual car (2000)

Now I have Chevrolet Cobalt LS 2005 manuel

tracycarstock2.jpg

I like this one even my friends tease me because it's yellow. I don't use it much because I didn't bring it to university as the paking downtown Montreal cost 120/month and that my insurance would skyrocket partially due to various speed ticket <.<. it's currently sitting at my parents house.

All that in 5 years :P
