I just built my dad a pc using this board.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813119137

I went weith a 2400g since he doesnt need dedicated graphics, but it will handle a R7 with no issues.

R7 5800x -:- Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming -:- EVGA FTW3 Ultra RTX3080 -:- EVGA 850 GA -:- 32GB G.Skill TridentZ Neo  -:- Asus TUF GT501

B450 Tomahawk. Best B450 board for what you're getting. The B450 TUF is pretty garbage VRM wise.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Not M-atx, yuck.

MSI has an actual m-atx board too, the B450M Mortar (Titanium).

I wouldn't put a r7 2700 in that board, especially if overclocking.

At the end of the day this guy didnt specify what he was using it for.... Any of these boards will work just fine.  Not everyone needs a $300 motherboard for playing league of legends...

These all seem like good options and my bad for not specifying what I would be using it for, the pc will be for gaming (rust, cod, Witcher 3, VR, etc)

i don't there's any AM4 motherboard that is more expensive than 200$, let alone 300$ mark. I would think that would be the price of Intel's 9th gen. (z390) motherboards.

they exist. the taichi ultimate and crosshair boards hit that easily

The Asrock B450m Pro 4 is fine, it has the best heatsinks, but i had bad experience with it, so mehh. Quality control i guess.

MSI bazooka is basically a tier down from mortar, the bazooka+ is almost as good, but mortar is best.

The MSI mortar is a decent mobo, no complaints. Even when overclocked the vrms are about 70c.

The gigabyte seems fine, but because it is itx it has less features.
