Just use auto detect and install if you are not sure.

Yesterday there was an optional download for 8570D on Windows update. What's weird is my son's PC has that GPU. Why would they offer it to me?

I'll recommend you the same thing that i recommend everyone:

  • Increase core clock by 10-25MHz
  • Test for stability using either Unigin Heaven or a graphic heavy game (Crysis 3, Metro: Last Light, Battlefield 4 ect)
  • If stable repeat
  • If unstabel increase core voltage by 5mV (Might not be possible. It depends on the card)
  • Repeat untill you hit a core temp of 90-95C
  • If you want you can overclock the memory aswell, but it really doesn't impact performance.
  • Increase the memory clock by 25-50MHz
  • Test for stability (See second step)
  • When unstable, scale back to last stable setting

Since the 8570 is an OEM card, if google didn't give you any result then you probably just have to test it out.

OC as much as you can while not crashing and keep the temperatures where you are comfortable at.

And if its a laptop I wouldn't bother... Thats a Laptop GPU right?

Reasons all laptop Cooling is specific to the hardware inside and matched., Meaning if you threw better parts in there you'd need a better cooler.

Same goes for Overclocking, EXTRA heat the cooling system is not equipped to disperse properly.

Thats why you hear so many laptop GPU's die, with or without overclocking... No laptop has OC headroom, their made to only JUST cool those components AS IS.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

If the temperature is OK, then go ahead. But remember that the stress test have to run for a some time, I recommend atleast 20 minutes.

And don't overclock the memory and the GPU at the same time. It will only make it more difficult when you incounter instability.

Don't use Furmark type programs to stresstest, google the many reasons why if you have to.

Use a real world test ie: Games
