Is a Surface Pro 3 i5 4300U, 256GB worth $500 CAD nowadays?

A friend is offering his old SP3 for $500 CAD ($373 USD for any Americans here), and I also have a 256GB SD card I can use to expand for a total of 512GB. That's plenty for me. I'd just like to hear opinions on the complete set.
