Will This bottleneck my GPU?

So I am building a computer for the first time ever and I just have a simple question that I need answered. The CPU that i'm planning to use for my build is an i7-7700K which according to Intel's website has a maximum cap of 16 PCIe Lanes. I'm currently trying to pick out a motherboard but i'm looking ahead for a any bottlenecks. Say for example that I use a 16x PCIe lane for a graphics card but also want to use a 1x PCIe lane for a wireless internet adapter. Since my CPU only allows 16 PCIe lanes will it bottleneck the GPU a bit due to the wireless internet adapter that i'm installing in the 1x PCIe lane? Ethernet is just not an option since my router is in my living room and iv'e already tried using power line ethernet adapters and they lower my speeds, so please don't mention them.

I don't understand what you mean. I'm going to assume that you're asking if having a wifi adapter in the 1x pcie slot will bottleneck your gpu in the 16x pcie slot. The answer would be no.

Well, usually the mobo/chipset will also add a couple of lanes. If you want more lanes, go for a higher end mobo, like a z270, rather than a b250.

Yes that is what I meant! Thank you so much for the answer but I want to know why it won't bottleneck the GPU since the CPU only allows for 16 PCIe lanes.

Because x16 and x1 are the speeds of the pcie slot. Having support for 16 PCIe lanes basically means that the CPU only supports 16 PCIe slots.

Ok this makes a lot of sense. So the x16 PCIe lanes for the GPU are handled by the CPU while all the other extra PCIe slots are handled by the motherboard. Thank you so much for clearing this up, I very much appreciate it.
