Ports don't match. 660 Reference card had 2x DVI, 1x HDMI, 1x DP. This card has 1x DVI, 1x HDMI, 3x DP.

Yea I noticed that. I never saw MSi selling those blower cards. My bad.

I did some minor research, but it's been pretty much confirming that it is that one.

I concur. Primarily because I bought a reference-PCB 960 with that exact port layout, PCB layout and shroud last week.

It's very. fucking. loud.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Yes it does look like that, however the chip, nor any of the bios's or drivers match up with it

Actually, I'm gonna have to take that back. I just pulled mine out of the PC it's being tested in, and the PCB is slightly different. Close enough that it could conceivably be a slight variation of a reference board, but I can't imagine ASUS or MSI doing too much to change up a reference board when putting together a blower for an OEM.

Oh yeah, mine's actually an ASUS card.

My PCB physically has GTX 960 printed on it, so I know mine's legit. OP's is missing a transistor behind the GPU as compared to mine. I've got two, he's got one. Based on the results coming back for 699-1G301-0010-200, it looks to be a GM206 GPU, which narrows it down to a 950 or 960. Based on the dates of the hits you found (2014), I wonder if this is a very early OEM GTX 960. The PCB is close, but not a perfect match by any stretch, and I'd be surprised if anyone was putting custom PCBs on OEM cards like this one.

yeah, thats basically exactly what i found. But the main problem still remains unanswered. I cannot install any drivers on the card manually or otherwise or find any roms to flash to card with. It would seem like it is some weird card that people made for like a weekend.

Where did you buy the card from?

The card might be using a modified / custom vBIOS.

I got the card from ebay, im presuming the card is using a modified custom bios maybe for mining, i just want to put it back lol. it still works as a 5 monitor card, its just loud as balls and runs super hot

Looking at the die / GPU core shape, it matches what was used for the GTX 900 series.

Using TechPowerUp's database, it resembled the GTX 950 / 960.

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/evga-gtx-960-ftw-acx-2-0.b3170

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gtx-950.c2747

The reference coolers were known to run the GPU hot/warm.

Since you already have the GPU disassembled, might as well do a thorough cleanse, and re-do the thermal paste.

It is definitely a GTX 960. The "MSIP-REM-NVA-PG301" on the PCB is a registry number for the South Korean government, in this case tied to the NVIDIA PG301. PG301 is the board number for the GTX 960. Here's what I'd try:

Go to NVIDIA.com and download the latest drivers for the GTX 960 on your OS. Then go to wagnardsoft.com and download DDU. Once you have the DDU file, double-click it and extract it to your desktop. Disconnect yourself from the internet and reboot into Safe Mode to run DDU. Pick GPU as your device, then choose NVIDIA, then Clean and DO NOT Restart. Do that again, but with AMD. After you've done that with both, do it with NVIDIA one last time, but this time tell it to restart.

Making sure you're not connected to the internet (keep Windows from trying to install drivers), install the GTX 960 driver you downloaded. Only the driver, not GeForce Experience. Once this is installed, reboot, then download GPU-Z if you haven't got it already and open it up. It should show a GTX 960. If it does, grab something like Unigine Heaven or Valley and let it run for an hour to make sure the driver installation was successful and nothing is unstable or broken.

If the driver install fails, GPU-Z shows anything other than a GTX 960 or the benchmark is black screened, artifacted or failing to perform like a 960/failing to load at all, you've got a bad card. Open a claim on eBay to return it (even if the seller says no returns, you can always return a broken product for free).

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Ok....i will clarify. The card is running hot...because there are no drivers installed on the card. Because there are no drivers on the card the card cannot be managed. Because of this, the card runs at 100% fan speed and voltage all the time. The card gets about 30 minutes of run time in open air before it overheats. Thermal paste is not the problem as i cannot USE THE CARD

Ah I see...

You  could try flashing a GTX 950 or 960 vBIOS on the card, and see what the outcomes are.

By the way, does GPU-Z give any information that could help us better identify which exact GPU this is?

Yes! I have been through every single 960/950 rom on techpowered up. None of them match. The BIOS v is on the back in the first image and is not located on that website. GPUZ comes up with "No card found"

Ok so this card is being used on an open test bench. I have reinstalled the entire OS several times trying to get this both with and without running any updates. NO nvidia drivers will take. It simply says "Card not supported" I have already tried every avenue of installing drivers, which is why I moved on to flashing the bios. My money has already been refunded and I got to keep the card so money is not an issue. The card operates completely fine, no artifacts and has been examined under a 20x microscope, no visible damage
