Replace the glass on a macbook pro retina

Hey Guys,

I have a 2014 MacBook Pro 13" Retina that has developed a small chip in the display overtime... I was wondering if any of you guys known of a repair shop that could just replace the glass. I've been looking online and replacing the whole display seems to be the only option and tends to be super pricey... is it a similar situation with modern phone displays were the LCD/display is glued to the glass.

Thanks for any advice in advance!

so i work at a place that does these types of repairs and when we get broken macbook screens in, we just replace the entire screen with panel because it is more cost effective to do it that way rather then to try and seperate the glass from the lcd.  if you do it that way, 90% chance the lcd will get damaged in the process.  its the same with most phones today
