i feel like rtx is meh as a launch the rtx 2080 barley has more performance than 1080ti and if you want better performance than the 1080ti you have to spend $1200 i feel sad

Yep, the RTX series has been really underwhelming IMO and AMD doesn't even exist.

 

At least used prices are looking decent right now.

well the performance of the 1080ti isnt bad its verry good so its not like we dont have high end cards available for less than 1200

you're right, nothing good is coming out and all this stupid shit with people "leaking" the titan rtx but it reality it seems like a controlled media deal. Prices on current gpu's are good though, I'm happy I got my evga 1070ti ftw2 for $380 brand new

Guess like Intel for the CPU's the market needs AMD to make a decent and competitive GPU to improve nvidia GPU's price and performance. Or maybe even when Intel will release their own series of dedicated GPU's

That won't work. nVidia has far greater mindshare than Intel. AMD shouldn't bother.

The only problem I have with these RTX cards is that they perform poor with ray-tracing enabled, literally the thing that they were marketed for. It's like Nvidia wanted this series to be technically advanced but spent way too little on the development of it.

The thing to learn is not to buy first-generation hardware of any new concept.

I think even if they just spent that extra million dollars on development, they'd have got something way better in terms of ray-tracing performance.
