Is half life 1 on pc? Also do you need to play half like 1 or can i play number 2? I can get half life 2 easy but not 1.

Yes, you have to buy it through Steam. I would strongly recommend playing the first one because the Half-Life games are very story-bound. I still think the original Half-Life is better than Black Mesa because it has that charm to it that Black Mesa doesn't.

Look up Black Mesa. Fan-made Freeware version of the original Half-Life using the Half-Life 2 engine. Takes a slight bit of work to install and get running, but the experience is awesome. It's the same exact game, just prettier.
