First time build

tomhay

I didnt know anything about pc until i wanted to get one and found out about ltt. I was going to buy prebuilt but in VietNam there isnt any trusty pc company. Most of them just put "PUBG gaming pc, gtav gaming,... and use put non-k cpu on z-seri motherboard to pump the price (or cus Z and X are the cool kid letter)

So with the knowledge of binge watching ltt for a month, i make this 2 build. Pls help evaluate this spec and price:

and:

A few question:

-i pick some cheaper part for the 2rd, could i get something better for the other part with the money i save

-dont know much about screen, just know that ips is good and 60hz is for wussy, so pick 1 for me

-pick a wifi card too

-my cat like to bite glowy stuff so no rgb hevy pls, black like my cat is good

-pick x cpu cus wanting too try overclocking in the future

---- if anyone could evaluaet all the parts price in Vietnam, my cat would love that person forever

+++purpis of use : curently is gaming, but im lerning programing so i could get a job in the future, so do i need to upgrade in the future?

+++Money: as close to 1500$ as prosible, less than that is even better, but still keep good spec

Ps: thank for helping, sorry for my half ass english, im Vietnamese

Looks almost perfect to me. What I would change:

CPU: R5 2600

CPU cooler: I would go with the Dark Rock 4, no maintenance, no danger, will outlive any watercooler with great performance. That's actually my personal choice.

PSU: RM550x (personal preference)

GPU: I would try to get a GTX 1070 Ti, maybe used

Monitor: That's a really low end monitor, try to get at least a 144hz panel if you're going just 1080p (I love ultrawide myself, I can recommend LG ultrawide panels with overclock to 75hz). In the end, all the work done by this whole system will be translated to you by your monitor, so if it is bad, your PC will give you a bad experience.

CPU: i5 10600KFMotherboard: Asus B460M-Plus | Cooling: Gamemmaxx 400 XT w/ Corsair ML120 Elite + 1 ML120 Elite exhaust + 2 ML140 Elite intake

RAM: 2x16GB Netac DDR4 3200MT/s @2666CL13 | GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual +200/+1200MHz/+5%

Storage: 2TB XPG S70 Blade, WD Blue NVMe 500GB, Seagate Barracuda 2TBPSU: Corsair TX550M

Monitor: 2x Pichau Cepheus Fuse 28" 4k 144Hz HDR | Keyboard: Corsair K70 mk.2 Cherry MX Red

Headphone/headset: Kuba Disco Pro/Gamer + Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro | OS: Windows 11 Home

Mouse: Corsair M65 Pro RGB + Ugreen Vertical MouseCase: Corsair Carbide 400C

About $300 for peripherals and Windows, so not that bad. There are cheap builds are there are solid builds, this is pretty solid overall to me, and solid builds don't work with cheaping out in every component that doesn't give you FPS. Just my thought.

My suggestion is to get DDR4-3200 memory. Ryzen works much better with faster memory. I see in your second build you downgraded to 2400 this will lessen the effectiveness of your cpu. I would also possibly wait on ordering the CPU cooler until you know how well the stock one will preform. I have a 2700x running a stock cooler and have not had any issues. This is also a suggestion that you don't have to follow but saved me a ton of money. I buy windows keys from online retailers for like $15 instead of $100. There's some sketchy sites that sell keys and there's some trustworthy ones. I'm not sure if these keys are region locked so I would call or check the website to see if you can activate them in Vietnam if you're interested.

Those builds are well balanced but I think you should go with the top build, Ryzen loves fast dual channel RAM so it is worth getting a 2x8GB 3000MHz kit. I think that the air cooler is the better choice as it will last longer and essentially never be a problem, whereas AIO coolers sometimes fail prematurely and it is a hassle to deal with. But I would not get the additional 1TB SSD, get the 2TB hard drive instead.

OP has peripherals and OS included. And really isn't overspending on any parts, so a 1070 if within budget is fine. Especially for 1080p gaming. How about instead of being an ass you actually make a helpful contribution.

If you are considering going with intel then try getting an i5 9600k, rtx 2070. If you get a z390 mobo, you will get wifi & Bluetooth built-in. Sorry its not a full build.

I would advised against buying i5 from now on. Not all games, but a decent amount which will get even more common, need the extra threads to ensure good frame time latency so you don't get hiccups or stutters. Gamers Nexus just released a video on the 9600k and covered this so I'd go watch that, long term the i5 is more likely not going to be a very good experience.
