Help with a new Laptop

So i have been a desktop user all my adult life, the last laptop i had was 10 years ago and was a Christmas present. so i have no idea what the heck im doing xD

in general i am not very hardware savvy (just enough to keep my pc running) so he i am asking for help from you awesome folks!

I am looking for a new Laptop/Notebook that's 500$ or less. it doesn't need to be the highest performer as its going to be mainly a family PC for Movies, YouTube and maybe some very casual gaming like Minecraft or Stardew Valley.

the only criteria i have is that the Display should be 1080p and that maybe that it doesn't look like it was just pulled out of a sewage plant.

I have done a couple days of research but in the end i don't really know what websites to trust.

so if you have any recommendations. Please! let me know<3

any and all responses are appreciated!

Thank you in advance and i love you all

Pepper~

not really. new would be nice and if its not like a massive brick that would be cool too, but its mainly gonna stay at home near the couch for relaxing or a Movie night.

Is 1080p a must or an option. Because with what im looking at your either gonna sacrifice resolution for 8 GB of RAM and an SSD or an HDD and 4 GB of RAM for 1080p

Yeah, I figured that out looking at it twice. Also have a little faith in the BIOS. I have an Envy X360 myself and it does fine. Just hold off on updating. As for finding one, Patience my friend xD
