Did you manually look for the driver in NVIDIA's website?

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Try going to the support page for your laptop. I remember having to update the BIOS of the laptop I was working on before Windows 10 could recognize an Nvidia GT 700-series graphics card.

There’s no bios update available for my laptop according to the manufacturer website

nvidia website can detect the GPU but no driver is available.

update : I was able to install driver version 391.35 downloaded from nvidia website, any version higher it would fail  compatibility check, GeForce experience also says that I’m ruming on the latest driver. ASUS website driver is outdated

You can get around the issue with the driver install...

Note may need Administrator rights.

Change the Nvidia Installation files' file extension from ".exe" to an archive format like ".zip" and open it.

The file now appears as an archive and lists multiple folders.

Then drag the folder "Display.Driver" to desktop.

Then go to Device Manger select display and choose update driver.

Choose to pick from files on computer.

Then select the desktop and the folder: "Display.Driver"

Let windows update the driver.

Note 2: this only will update the graphics card driver -NO bells and whistles get an upgrade.

Had to do it this way when trying to update from driver 387.92 to 416.16 which led to complete nvidia installer failure.

I then checked in Device manager and says driver was released 10-2-2018.

So I am now up to date as of a week ago.

This is not the best way to install a Nvidia driver but when a bugged installer is given sometimes the only way around is a complete deviation of the normal process.
