Weird temps

copper2215

Hi. yesterday i have finished my first ever watercooling build (i5-7600k, 1080ti, 16 gskill tridnez rgb). It looks great but temps are very disappointing. 40c on idle and 75 on load on the cpu. What can i do to fix my temps? (cpu is at stock speed 3.8ghz)

Maybe giving a little info about your watercooling setup would help clear the confusion?

If you have a single 120mm radiator then the temp seems reasonable, but if you have a 280mm radiator then i would look into it.

It is a custom loop. I have 120 and 240 radiators for CPU and gpu.

Can i ask what are your GPU temps? @copper2215

Gpu temps are great. 35- 40 under Full load

Looking at your loop it seems to go PUMP > GPU > 120mm RAD > CPU > 240mm RAD > RES

I'd be looking at having the liquid go from the pump to the CPU or from the 240 rad to the CPU, either way having the CPU being the first stop after the larger radiator.

Kinda like this,

Nice looking build btw!

Is it just me or is there a lot of air in that loop? Could just be something with the orientation of everything but I would at least fill up the tube coming off the 240 rad to the reservoir to get rid of most of that air in there since it's just empty there.
