Is there a way to get onto floatplane with third party login

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

 

So I first set up my forum account using my Steam login but now want to access the floatplane site. Is there any way to get a login for Floatplane using username/email and password from a forum Steam account? I don't mind switching to an email login but it says I need a password which I obviously don't have. I would just set up a new account but I've already paid for my subscription...

To connect your forum account to floatplane, you need to click "More sign-in options", then "Sign in with LTT forum". Just using a username and password from the forum, even if you have one, doesn't work - the floatplane site doesn't have access to your forum password.

Ah thanks for the suggestion, its giving me this error but as its not urgent I'll probably just leave it another six months and try again unless there's a way around this .
