Worth buying Max Payne 3 for multiplayer?

Bluethulhu

I have a friend who just built a PC yesterday (8320, R9 290) and just came from a laptop with a 630M. Seeing how Max Payne 3 is $3.99 on Steam right now, I was thinking about buying 2 copies and gifting one to him now that he can play it. I'm curious if the multiplayer/co-op is any good. Neither of us have played MP 1 or 2 before.

No, I wouldn't buy Max Payne solely for the Multiplayer. I doubt many people play the Multiplayer anymore. If you're playing co-op, it might last 1-2 hours for the missions including the DLC.

Though if you're going to buy it for multiplayer I would get the Max Payne complete edition which has more multiplayer maps/missions.

I watched the campaign playthrough and didn't like it all that much. Apparently the multiplayer is somewhat okay, I guess it might be worth $3.99.
