Can i repair this?

Hi,

yesterday my MSI GTX 970 Gaming died.

Is there any chance that i can repair this (by myself) or should i just buy a new gpu?

No way you can repair that. Its definitely destroyed the traces on the board.

There's going to be internal damage to the PCB, so I'd say your chances aren't high unless you have master soldering skills and a lot of time on your hands. Even then, probably not.

I mean, not entirely true, but yeah, when an electrical component explodes hard enough to actually rip a hole in the PCB, it isn't repairable.

It looks like the board got damaged pretty bad, probably dead but sometimes can be fixed if the board trace is there as others mentioned.
