Changing M.2 SSD in LG Gram

123stephen5

Hi, so i was thinking about buying an LG Gram laptop. The model i was looking at comes with a 256gb m.2 ssd, but i have a 525gb m.2 in my current laptop that id like to put in. How can i get the OS over to that drive with it working, I'll do it when it's brand new so no worries about keeping files. I also have a PC with 2 empty M.2 slots if that makes any difference. Thanks

Installing an OS for a laptop should be very similar if not the same to installing os for a desktop. Just google how to install windows of a USB

Make a USB drive with ISO file via Windows installation tool first. Then put the SSD in, plug in the USB drive, go to BIOS/boot menu to set the USB drive as first boot device. Then follow the steps in Windows installation and you're good to go.

License key is bundled to mobo so no need to key in manually, activation process is automatic.
