Looking for info on a particular pump.

I normally can find tons of information on these things, but apparently outside of the reviews on the site I have been unable to find any information on the following item.

I am mostly curious if it is an actual d5 pump variant... which is looks to be, but the add only says it is compatible with d5 tops. The head pressure and flow rate look like that of an average d5, but not wanting to invest in 4 of these for some cheap loops I am throwing in a few rigs if they are fake.

It seems to be D5 compatible, but doesn't appear to be a genuine Laing/Xylem D5 as far as I can see.

Can't say anything about the quality though. Honestly, I would advise going for ones you know are genuine Laing/Xylem pumps from the like of Swifttech, EKWB, Alphacool etc. rather than risking it.

If this was for one of my main systems I would agree with you. I might just grab a single one and wait out the 10-15 day shipping time and pull it apart and see. For the price if the specs are accurate then it might be worth grabbing them up.

It's essentially a low cost remake of the D5 using the same form factor, I've seen barrow also have a unit similar to that but they do not have the same working temps or quality as the real D5 units. Not sure about actual noise and performance of the unit however.

Well, the fact that it says compatible with D5 tops and doesn't say it's a D5 itself and the lack of Laing/Xylem in the description, it's probably safe to say it's something made to fit with aftermarket D5 tops without being a D5 itself.

The warranty seems to be a 30 day return period if it's defective, nothing more is mentioned. You could buy one and see how it works (which it will probably work fine), but it's basically impossible to tell how reliable they'll be or how long they'll last. If you go for them, that's just a risk you're going to have to take.

Very true.

Well it can't hurt to try one I guess. I mean as far as design it is pretty much spot on, but I do have a feeling it is just an asian copy of it. Then again if it performs on par, I might have a use for it, but chances are I will still be using the swiftech mcp655 or my mcp 35x ddc's for my main rigs. A failure on one of the lab pc's that guest play on isn't going to bother me much.
