Can i run GTA IV

I have a laptop and i want gta 4 to play on the go kind of 

 

I tried GTA 5 on it, 31FPS with disabled shadows on 800x600

not acceptable but ok

 

Now i want gta 4

AMD A6-6310 

4GB DDR3L

1TB HDD
 

Can i run it

Yeah you should be able to I'm almost positive the system I ran it on at the time had a similar spec'ed cpu

It'll run pretty well until you start adding tons of mods.

Gta V runs better on systems than gta IV.

Your computer is fine and GTA 4 will run better than GTA 5. 

 

If GTA 5 is 30fps, when you run 4 it will be better.

 

BTW desktop is always better than laptops, because manufacturers don't need to stress on making products smaller for portablilty.

I personally like to play on desktop better and u could change to a SSD for faster boot times and overall quicker program running.

gta 4 had performance issues and many ppl dont use the fix :) ( if u dont use all the fixes it will run poor AF )

 

u can fix those and it runs less heavy than gta v in the end trust me lol

yes that's good cos if u keep playing on the laptop things get fried easily if the cooling on the laptop is not good.

 

My friend's XPS 13 motherboard got fried from some hours of music production.

ive put this laptop though some intense tests

 

Beamng drive for hours 

and the system requirements for that game are

 

  • CPU: High-end Intel i5/i7 or High-end AMD 6 Core or better
  • RAM: 8GB DDR3
  • GPU: GTX 780 or better
  • Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (64 bit) or newer

All the fucking blotware that was on it before i removed it all

GTA 5 for a few minutes
